Shakespeare 101
Shakespeare's Stage:
An introduction to Shakespeare for beginning students
or advanced direction and/or coaching can be arranged.
An introduction to "Midsummer Night's Dream", As You Like It, Macbeth and many more.
Learn monologues and work on scenes. Marta has coached and directed scenes and plays with adult professional actors as well as students just stepping on the stage.

Acting on Camera:
Learn to hit your mark and emote.
From being an extra to direct address in one class.
What is the difference from acting on stage to acting on camera?
Learn how to ignore the camera and create characters for film work.
This workshop is taught by Marta and Chad.
Improvisation:
Students learn how to create their own choreography and to work sensitively with others.
This class is for the more advanced dance student/actor or adults.
This workshop is taught by Marta.
Creative Dance:
Students discover the dancer within and move to music of a world beat.
African, Latin, Dance Americana, Modern and folk dance will be taught in a fun and safe fashion.
Traditional and nontraditional movements are explored and students learn to create their own choreography as well. Students gain confidence and self esteem as they learn to move in new ways.

Creative Dramatics:
Students act out stories and poetry from cultures throughout the world and end by writing some of their own. Learn to be a frog in an ancient aboriginal play, or how to be a character in a Monster Goose poem. Children learn the beginning acting skills in call response fashion. Older children begin scene work in a fun new way.
Creative Dance/Dramatics is a combination of the above classes.

Acting Class:
For the beginner or advanced student. Scenes and monologues will be acted out and character creation is explored. Stage acting and acting on camera can be chosen.
Creative Theatre encourages children to play and act.
This class will be a combination of creative dramatics and creative movement.
Students will enjoy a call and response type of theatre created especially for
students who are too young to read.

Stage Combat:
Learn to take a fall and throw a punch, without the pain of getting hurt. We teach that the victim is always in control of the violence. Actors will learn to react to kicks, slaps, hair pulls and knife stabs so that the audience believes the action. Chad introduces some basic sword play and Marta sets the scene so that actors come away from this workshop with the knowledge of what situations are safe and unsafe on stage or film. This class is great for junior high and high school, community college and professional actors of all ages.
